Now, that the submission phase has ended, the behind the scenes work begins to find the winners per country. A newsletter update has been sent to everyone who has signed up for a newsletter, but as not everybody has left their mail address (we understand) you can read it below.
As this is an audio podcast award, the organizers are well aware that most people might like audio over text and so organizer Michel Mertens has taken the time to put together a small video about the current status and proceedings. Over 750 podcasts out of 11 European countries are participating in this
first European podcast award. The country – juries are working hard – we
want to inform you, that up to the last moment (in the middle of november
08) the internet voting counts. You can achieve 20% of all possible points
in the valuation of your podcast thereby.On top of this we must apologize our delay in the awarding process – at
least since the end of November 08 we will have informed all winners.Thank You for your understanding and kind support!

First of all just a quick thanks to you guys for organising the award. It’s a great was to publicise the medium, our individual podcasts, and discover new podcasts :)
Also, will we be able to find out how we have scored with the judges once this years award is over? As mediums of entertainment I believe we should always strive to improve ourselves and make our show the best we can, and this can only be achieved by feedback. I know our listener feedback has had an impact on our show and your feedback would be appreciated too :)
