Over 1.500 podcasters submitted, over 400 thousand votes where cast for their favorite podcasters, the jury listened and decided – and now we are proud to present to you the European Winners for the European Podcast Award 2010 per country and category!

How did the ranking happen?
There are two parts to our ranking process. First, the internet ranking: We took the number of votes + content ranking (1 up to 5) + plus form (1 up to 5) = internet ranking / max 125 points.

Then each national jury member had a maximum of 500 points to distribute per podcast and for comparison reasons on an international basis we would divide that by the number of jury members per country.

This allows us to compare rankings throughout Europe, even though some countries are much smaller than others. Jury points and internet ranking gave the final ranking. Finally, we had a closer look at our national winners and then decided upon the European Winner.

About the EPA:
The Initiative European Podcast Award is a European project that promotes European thoughts and the cultural diversity. The Initiative EPA was founded in December 2007 in Hamburg, Germany.
